Important safety instructions

YOUR SAFETY AS WELL AS THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IS IMPORTANT
TO ACCO BRANDS EUROPE. IN THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND ON
THE PRODUCT ARE IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGES. READ THESE
MESSAGES CAREFULLY.

m

General safeguards

• Use the unit for its intended purpose only.
• Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the unit.
• Do not place anything in the machine other than the maximum binding

capacity. (GBC pre-punched paper up to 100 sheets (90gsm) plus 2 x
GBC pre-punched covers).

Setting up

• Retain the packaging in case you need to return the machine for

repair.

• Place the unit on a secure, stable work area to prevent the unit from

falling and possibly causing personal injury and damage to the unit.

IMPORTANT: The machine is a binding unit only. It will not punch

paper or covers. You must use pre-punched papers and covers to bind
with this machine.

Loading pre-punched paper
into your printer

IMPORTANT: If you are using pre-punched paper for the first time

it is advisable to try some test prints first to establish the

correct orientation for your printer. You may need to refer to the

manufacturers instructions so that the paper is in the correct draw/tray
on your printer. Failure to do this could result in a paper jam.
Multi Drawer Printers

If your printer has multiple paper drawers you may wish to dedicate one
drawer to pre-punched paper. An adhesive label is provided to enable
you to label the outside of the drawer.
Single Drawer Printers

Replace the standard paper in the drawer with pre punched paper.
Manual Feed Tray

If your printer has a manual feed tray you may wish to use this for pre-
punched paper when you are ready to produce a bound document.

Printing the document (A)

1

Load the pre-punched paper into the printer.

2

Print a test page to ensure you have the correct orientation for your

printer – If using a multi drawer/manual feed printer you will need
to select the correct drawer/ tray. (Usually in the properties section
within your print menu).

3

Once you are happy that the test page has printed correctly place

the adhesive label onto your printer tray/drawer.

Collating your document

1

Now that your document has been printed onto the pre punched

paper you are ready to add a pre-punched front and back cover. (see
fig 1)

Binding tip:

• Place the front cover onto the top of your document. The back

cover should then be placed on top of the front cover with the
inside of the back cover facing upwards.

• Once your document has been bound you then flip the back cover

over so that it is at the back of the document.

This step ensures that after closing of the Click spine, it will be
hidden between the back cover and the last page.
