Binding the document

1

Open the EzClick unit so that the lid is fully open.

2

Place the entire document into the unit so that it lays flat and all the

holes are lined up at the bottom of the tray. (see fig 2)

3

Use the document thickness guide (which is located at either side of

the unit) to establish the correct click size. Each step represents the
maximum thickness a document should be, for each click size. If
the document looks very similar to the maximum thickness allowed
for that spine size always use the next size up for easier page
turning. (see fig 3)

4

Set the machine to the correct Click spine size. To do this slide the

switch in an upwards or downwards direction depending on the size
of the spine. (see fig 4)

IMPORTANT: Failure to set the machine to the correct spine size

will result in an unsatisfactory closure of the spine.

5

To check you have the correct Click spine size (8mm, 12mm or

16mm) use the Click Size guide on the front of the machine. (see
fig 5)

6

Place the correct Click spine horizontally, with the prongs facing

away from you into the binding channel located at the front of the
machine. (see fig 6)

IMPORTANT: The click spine should be completely open. Do not try

to close the spine before you place it into the unit.

7

Using both hands rotate the closing dials located on the front of the

unit. You will see on the front of the machine a closing guide. Keep
turning the dials until the colour changes to red in the correct click
size window. (see fig 7)

8

The spine is now closed. Lift the entire document off the unit.

9

Return the dials to their original position.

IMPORTANT: Never close a click spine without a pre-punched

document in the unit.

Editing a document

You can edit a document once you have closed the spine. To do this
there is a small editing tool located at the front of the machine.

1

To use the editing tool, pull out from the front of the unit. (see fig 8)

2

Slide the Click spine along the editing tool. (see fig 9)

3

The Click spine is now open and you document can be edited.

4

To close the Click spine again place the document and click back

into the unit and repeat the binding process.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure the click spine is flat before you

place it in the machine.

Click spine storage

• The EzClick binding unit has a built in storage unit for clicks.
• This can be found by lifting the document support lid to its open

position. The storage compartment can be found by lifting the small
flap in the centre of the unit. (see fig 10)

• Due to its lightweight and compact design, the EzClick binding unit

can also be stored away neatly in most office draws or on a shelf.
