For using ST-7.
Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit.

4. Install a lithium-ion battery to the rear of
ST-7.
6. Conversion cables which are supplied to
a camera can be connected with the BNC-
BNC relay connector.
7. ST-7 can be installed to the Sony tripod base
VCT-14/U14 to install to a tripod.
5. Turn on the POWER SW on the bottom of the
rear of ST-7. LED indicator lights up and the
power is supplied to a camera and a light.

Instructions
■ Caution : They might damage the grip portion of a camera if you lift a camera up with
only the grip portion or install a receiver of the wireless microphone, a hard disk back
up unit, etc. to the battery shoe of ST-7.
A small camera applicable to ST-7 is designed to be used as it is. We recommend
you to use ST-7 as a support equipment. It is not applied to the operation which
gives a big weight pressure to the grip portion and the application to use a wireless
receiver and a hard disk back up unit together.
■ Main Features :
ST-7 is applicable to a handy type camera/camerarecorder.
ST-7 can be installed to the Sony tripod base VCT-14/U14.
To supply a power of +8.4 V
for a camera and a power of
+12 V for a wireless receiver.
■ Operation
１．Install ST-7 to the bottom of a handy
camera with the guide pin. And tighten
the camera screw to fit it to a camera.

Fit the washer
to each screw.
For a camera which has two screw holes
1 Take off the guide pin plate from the ST-7 loosening
the camera screw and remove the camera screw from
the guide pin plate. Fit the washers(supplied) to the
spare screw (supplied) and the camera screw.
2 Install the screws with the washers to the ST-7 and fix
the ST-7 into the screw holes of a camera with the
two screws.

so that the MINI 4-pin(Female)
connector can continue to supply
the power to a camcorder even if

2. Fix the handle of ST-7 to the screw hole
on the upper side of the grip of the camera
with the supplied screw.
3. If the power is supplied to a camera from
ST-7, please use the optional DC power cable
according to the camera used.
■ In the case of Sony PMW-EX3,
Press the hook stay on the belt hole at
the rear of the camcorder, and pressing
downward fix the stay with the screw.
