Installation and Configuration
Following is the general procedure for installing and configuring a
FlowShark monitor. Refer to Chapters 3 through 7 for more details.
 Investigate the Site Characteristics
• Flow Hydraulics
• Pipe and Manhole Characteristics
 Install the Sensors in the Pipe
• Assemble the Ring (when applicable)
• Mount the Sensors to the Ring or Special Bands
• Secure the Sensor Cables to the Ring or Special Bands
• Install the Ring or Band in the Pipe
• Secure the Sensor Cables Along the Pipe and Up the
Manhole
 Connect the Sensors to the Monitor
 Attach the Dryer Tube to the Monitor
 Establish Wireless or On-Site Communication with
the Monitor
 Configure the Monitor (Profile ®
)
• Create the Monitor Location
• Create the Installation Table
• Select and Edit the Devices
 Set the Communication Parameters (Profile)
 Activate the Monitor (Profile)
 Run Diagnostics and Perform Confirmations (Profile)
 Install the Monitor in the Manhole
