Fixing Instructions
1. Fix the Crack Monitor over the crack with the vertical zero line on the
calibration scale parallel with the crack to be monitored.
2. Ensure that the monitoring spigots on the HC-2937 are pointed down are on
the right side of the crack.
3. Use screws and adhesive to fix
4. Remove the four pre-set pegs
5. If the crack opens or closes the cursor moves relative to the calibration scale.
The opening or closing of the crack can then be recorded on the record sheet
on the reverse of these instructions.
6. Using Digital or Vernier Calipers enables measurements to ± 0.1mm to be
recorded. Locate the Caliper jaws against the projecting monitoring spigots
(figure 2). Measure the distance.
