9.1 Message Waiting Light and Messaging—continued

To turn on the message waiting light at an idle telephone,
1. Press MESSAGE. (For models 8012S and 8024S, press
INTERCOM, then dial ✳ 3.)
2. Dial extension number of station to be alerted. The message
waiting light of called station will flash.

To turn off the message waiting light at a busy or idle station,
1. Press MESSAGE. (For models 8012S and 8024S, press
INTERCOM, then dial # 3.)
2. Dial extension number of station that was alerted. The message
waiting light of called station will turn off.

To turn off the message waiting light during message-delivering
conversation,
1. Press INTERCOM.
•
To receive a message at an alert
1. Observe flashing message waiting light.
2. Press MESSAGE. (For models 8012S and 8024S, press
INTERCOM, then HOLD.) Connection to the station that left
message is automatic.
