All systems include an integrated, high-performance, 64-bit accelerated graphics port (baseline AGP) subsystem that drives an external SVGA monitor. The AGP is a
dedicated bus that bypasses the PCI bus and allows for interconnection of the video subsystem directly to the microprocessor's chip set for high performance required
for 3D video subsystems. This architecture also off-loads video data from the PCI bus, providing greater performance for devices attached to the PCI bus.
The maximum supported resolution is 1600 x 1200 pixels with 65,535 colors (16 bpp) at 76 Hz. Other supported resolutions are listed in
Specifications
. The SVGA
subsystem has the following major components:
l
ATI 3D Rage II C (baseline AGP) SVGA video controller
l
2-MB SGRAM video memory (expandable to 4 MB)
l
ATI Multimedia Channel (AMC) connector
l
15-pin monitor connector
