Installing Rapid CIFS (RDCIFS)
1.1
Prerequisites
• The client OS must be the 64-bit version of Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012.
• The DR container share must be mapped on the client machine.
• Only DR6000 supports the CIFS accelerator (RDCIFS).
1.2
Steps for installing Rapid CIFS
1. Download the MSI to the client box using the following steps:
a. On the client Windows machine, launch the DR Series system GUI management interface
through a web browser.
b. Log in and click Storage-> Clients -> any client tab (NFS/CIFS/RDA) -> Download Plug-In.
c. Choose Rapid CIFS Windows (64-bit) to download the .msi package to your local computer.
