Thermal Fan
Removing the Thermal Fan
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working On Your Computer .
2. Remove the battery .
3. Remove the SIM card.
4. Remove the SD card.
5. Remove the back panel .
6. Remove the memory
7. Remove the keyboard trim .
8. Remove the keyboard .
9. Remove the optical drive .
10. Remove the hard drive .
11. Remove the wireless local area network (WLAN) .
12. Remove the wireless wide area network (WWAN)
13. Remove the CPU door .
14. Remove the heat sink .
15. Remove the processor .
16. Remove the palm rest .
17. Remove the ExpressCard/Smart Card/PCMCIA module .
18. Remove the display assembly.
19. Remove the support brackets .
20. Remove the system board .
21. Disengage the DC-In cable from the routing channel.
22. Remove the screw that secures the thermal fan.
