5 Select the Connections tab, and make sure the following
options are correct:
a If you're using a Modem, click on the name of your ISP
and press the Settings button.
• Uncheck the box that reads Use a proxy server for
this connection
b If you’re using a Cable service [Comcast, Cox,
RoadRunner, etc], press the LAN Settings button.
• Uncheck the box that reads Use a proxy server for
your LAN
