Replacing Drives

Replacing a Hard Drive
WARNING: To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from
the electrical outlet before removing the cover.
CAUTION: If you are replacing a hard drive that contains data that you want to
keep, back up your files before you begin this procedure.
1 Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 13.
2 Remove the
computer cover (see "Replacing the Computer Cover" on
page 17).
3 Disconnect the power cable and the data cable from the hard drive.
