Removing a Processor Fan
1.
Open the system. See "
Opening the System
" in "Troubleshooting Your System."

Press the release tab on the fan carrier and lift the fan out of the center fan bracket. See

In the event of a problem with a particular fan, the fan's number is referenced by the system's management software, allowing you to easily
identify and replace the proper fan.

Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the components inside the system. See
