1.

Follow the instructions in

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.


 

2.

Turn over the computer.

 

3.

Loosen the captive screw in the thermal-cooling/microprocessor cover and remove the cover.

 

4.

Loosen in consecutive order the four captive screws, labeled "1" through "4," in the thermal- cooling assembly.

 

5.

Lift the thermal-cooling assembly out of the computer by pulling straight up on the pull-strap.
