OPERATION

APPLICATIONS

You may use this product for the purposes listed below:

■ Drilling In all types of wood products (lumber, plywood,

paneling, composition board, and hard board)

■ Drilling In ceramics, plastics, fiberglass, and laminates

■ Drilling In metals

This product will accept Diehard® 19.2 V llthlum-lon bat­
tery packs and Craftsman 19.2 V nickel-cadmium battery

packs.
For complete charging Instructions, refer to the Operator’s
Manual for the battery packs and chargers listed In the
General Safety Rules.

BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES

Diehard® 19.2 V llthlum-lon battery packs are designed

with features that protect the llthlum-lon cells and

maximize battery life.

If the tool stops during use, release the trigger to reset
and resume operation. If the tool still does not work, the
battery needs to be recharged.

TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK

See Figure 2.

■ Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of

rotation selector In the center position,

■ Place battery pack In the tool. Align raised rib on

battery pack with groove Inside tool.

■ Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack

snap Into place and battery pack Is secured In tool

before beginning operation,

CAUTION:

When placing battery pack In the tool,

be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with groove
Inside tool and latches snap Into place properly.
Improper assembly of battery pack can cause
damage to Internal components.

TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK

See Figure 2.

■ Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of

rotation selector In the center position,

■ Locate latches on end of battery pack and depress to

release battery pack from the tool.

■ Remove battery pack.

WARNING:

Battery products are always In operat­

ing condition. Therefore, the switch should always
be locked when not In use or carrying at your side.

C3 ENERGY INDICATOR WINDOW

See Figure 2.

The C3 energy Indicator window located on the side

of the handle, just above the base, will light when a
Diehard® 19.2 V llthlum-lon battery pack Is Installed and
has charge.

NOTE: Feature will not light with Craftsman 19.2 V nickel­
cadmium battery packs.
