PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE

TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY

' DO NOT attempt to operate this oven with the door

open, since open-door operation can resuit in harmfui
exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to
defeat or tamper with the safety interiocks.

' DO NOT operate the oven if it is damaged,

it is particuiariy important that the oven door cióse

properiy and that there is no damage to the:

— door (bent).

— hinges and iatches (broken or ioosened),

— door seáis and seaiing surfaces.

• DO NOT piace any object between the oven front

face and the door or aiiow soii or cieaner residue to

accumuiate on seaiing surfaces.

• THE OVEN shouid not be adjusted or repaired by

anyone except properiy quaiified service personnei.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appiiance must be grounded! if an eiectricai short
circuit occurs, grounding reduces the risk of eiectric shock by

providing an escape wire for the eiectric current. This appiiance

is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a

grounding plug, insert the plug into an outiet that is properiy

instaiied and grounded.

If you use the grounding plug improperly, you risk eiectric shock.

Ask a quaiified eiectrician or the Sears Service Department if
you do not understand the grounding instructions or if you are

not certain whether the appiiance is properiy grounded.

If you use an extension cord, be sure that:

• The extension cord has the same eiectricai rating as

the appiiance.

• The marked rating of the extension cord shall be equal to or

greater than the electrical rating of the appliance.

• The extension cord is a grounding-type 3-wire cord.

NOTE: This oven draws 12.5 amperes at 120 voits, 60 hz.

This appliance has a short power suppiy cord to reduce the risk

of anyone tripping over or becoming entangied in the cord. You

may use an extension cord if you are carefui.

• The extension cord does not drape over a countertop or

tabietop, where it can be pulied on by chiidren or tripped

over accidentaiiy.

• The electrical cord is dry and not pinched or crushed In

any way.

ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE

1. Microwave oven operation may interfere with TV, phone, or radio reception.

2. When there Is interference, it may be reduced or eiiminated by taking the foilowing measures:

a. Clean the door and the sealing surfaces of the oven.

b. Reorient the receiving antenna of radio or TV.

c. Relocate the microwave oven in relation to the TV, phone, or radio.
d. Move the microwave oven away from the receiver.
e. Plug the microwave oven into a different outlet so the microwave oven and receiver are on different branch circuits.
