STEP 9. Remove rubber protective boot.
STEP 10. Remove six (6) bolts that secure shifter to transmission.
Tools: Drive, extension, 12mm socket, and 12mm
open-ended wrench
NOTE: Two front bolts are accessed from under the
vehicle. Car must be lifted and properly
supported to access bolts with open-ended
wrench.
STEP 7. Remove bolts securing rubber protective boot.
Tools: Drive, extension, and 10mm socket
STEP 8. Remove steel retaining ring.
