the required attachments into the sockets of the motor unit. Do this as if using the appliance
as a hand mixer – if necessary, slightly rotate the attachments so that the guiding collars
on the stems engage with the notches of the sockets. Push the attachments fully home
into the sockets and then check their proper fitting. When using kneading hooks, insert the
attachment without the raised edge into the (star shaped) opening of the appliance holder
accommodating the drive unit.

4. While holding the stand steady, tilt the mixer back on the stand joint. This joint locks in an

open position of 45 degrees.

5. Add the ingredients into the mixing bowl then locate the filled bowl on the stand. Note:

Always be careful to avoid spattering during blending. Do not fill the mixing bowl beyond
2/3 capacity; for dense foods this should be reduced to half maximum capacity, or about 1
litre. This prevents overloading the mixer unit motor.
Using the appliance with the stand is recommended principally for blending larger ingredi-
ent volumes. If the attachments do not immerse sufficiently into a smaller ingredient volume
in the mixing bowl, detach the mixer from the stand and use it as a handheld appliance.

6. After placing the filled mixing bowl onto the stand, lower the appliance holder with the mi-

xer unit into the horizontal position, immersing the tools into the mixing bowl ingredients.

7. Plug the appliance into a mains socket, then turn it on with the setting switch. Be careful to

select the appropriate setting. If necessary, hold the rear of the stand steady during use to
keep it still. Take care to avoid touching the rotating parts and ensure that the stand is dry
while you are holding it.

8. After use, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the mains wall socket.

9. After use, tilt the mixer unit back on the stand holder and remove the mixing bowl.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning! Before you clean the appliance it must be switched off and the

mains plug must be removed from the wall socket.

It is essential not to immerse the handle and motor in water and to keep it

away from running water.

1. Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then wipe the

cleaned surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care not to allow any moisture inside the
cover. Let the appliance dry completely before re-using or storing it.

2. When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as

these may solve the casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do
not use cleaning agents with coarse or grinding effect.

3. Never remove the casing or dismantle.

4. Remove the beater or kneading attachments from the appliance, then wash carefully in

warm water and detergent or a dishwasher. After washing the tools rinse and dry them
completely. When cleaning the hand mixer and mixing bowl follow the same procedure for
the bowl. Remember to clean the stand also if it has become soiled during use. Do not use a
dishwasher to clean the mixing bowl or stand.

5. If the appliance will not be used for a longer time, after cleaning put it in a nylon bag and

store it in a dust, humidity and frost free storage place. Do not wind the power cord around
the appliance not even for storage, because bending could break or weaken the insulation of
the power cord.

6. The hand mixer is factory lubricated and does not require any additional lubrication. No

other maintenance apart from cleaning is necessary. Repair, if necessary must only be
performed by a specialist service centre.
