Transmit Carrier
In SSB and some data modes, a transmitter’s
primary signal may be accompanied by a weak
unmodulated signal called a carrier about 1 kHz
away. The carrier should be suppressed (or nulled)
to minimize interference to nearby stations. The
TXCRNUL menu entry is used for this purpose.
This procedure requires a spectrum analyzer
and is normally done only at the factory.
Complete instructions are available on request.
Transmit Sideband
In SSB and some data modes, a transmitter’s
primary signal may be accompanied by a weak
opposite sideband signal about 2 kHz away. This
signal should be suppressed (or nulled) to minimize
interference to nearby stations. The TXSBNUL
menu entry is used for this purpose.
This procedure requires a spectrum analyzer
and is normally done only at the factory.
Complete instructions are available on request.
