In an accident, during hard braking or sudden
maneuvers, they could be thrown around
inside the vehicle, and cause injury to vehicle
occupants.

To open: open the tailgate.

Holding the ribbing, press handle :
downwards ;.
Handle : folds upwards.

Swing the trunk floor upwards using
handle : until it rests against the cargo
compartment cover.

X

Release hook = from the bracket on the
underside of the trunk floor.

X

Engage hook = into rain trough ?.

Stowage compartments A and B can be

used to stow small, light and flat objects.

Before you close the tailgate, unhook the

hook from the rain trough and fold the trunk
floor down.

To close: unhook hook = from rain
trough ?.

X

Fasten the hook to the bracket on the
underside of the trunk floor

X

Fold the trunk floor down.

X

Press the trunk floor down ; until it
engages.

Warning!

Only use roof racks approved by Mercedes-
Benz for your vehicle model to avoid damage
to the vehicle.
Follow the manufacturer’s installation
instructions. Otherwise, an improperly
attached roof rack system or its load could
become detached from the vehicle.
Do not exceed the maximum roof load of
165 lb (75 kg).
Take into consideration that when the roof
rack is loaded, the handling characteristics
are different from those when operating the
vehicle without the roof rack loaded.
