Lamps
Display messages Possible cause/consequence Possible solution
. Check
Center Brake Lamp
The high mounted brake lamp is
malfunctioning. This message will only
appear if a critical number of LEDs have
stopped working. X Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center
as soon as possible.
. Check Left
Cornering Light
or
Check Right
Cornering Light
The left or right corner-illuminating front
fog lamp is malfunctioning. X Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center
as soon as possible.
. Check
Left Low Beam
or
Check
Right Low Beam
The left or right low-beam lamp is
malfunctioning. X Halogen headlamps: Replace the bulb as
soon as possible ( Y page 355).
X Bi-Xenon headlamps: Contact an authorized
Mercedes-Benz Center as soon as possible.
. Auto Lamp Function
Inoperative
The light sensor is malfunctioning.
Daytime driving lamps come on
automatically. X Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center
as soon as possible.
To switch off the headlamps (U.S. vehicles only):
X In the instrument cluster control system, set
lamp operation to manual mode (
Y page 148).
X Switch on headlamps using the exterior lamp
switch (
Y page 100).
