5. The AC Adapter is not waterproof! A long power cord is provided to allow the Adapter to be plugged
into a receptacle that is protected from the washdown process. The power cord should be “fished” into
a dry room or a waterproof electrical box. Consult a licensed electrician regarding an appropriate
location and connection methods.
(A) Connect the power cord supplied with the scale to the power port located in the rear of the scale.
(Do not plug the ac adapter into the power receptacle at this time) (B) Firmly secure the power cord
on the port. (C) Use a screwdriver to connect the power cord spade lugs to the AC adapter terminals.
Do NOT plug the AC adapter into the power receptacle until the power cable is connected to the scale
and the power terminals have been connected to the adapter.

Never connect the spade lugs with adapter plug into the wall outlet. Never spray water on the adapter.
Do not cover the adapter with plastic bag or any type of covering (it will not protect the adapter from
moisture)
