Non-Bifurcated Fiber Optic Bundle
HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
1. Carefully remove fiber optic bundle from the packaging.
2. Carefully remove headlight assembly from the packaging.
3. Insert fiber optic bundle distal end into luminaire.
4. For bifurcated fiber, drape fiber optic bundle over top of headband. Align marks on
fiber optic bundle with clips attached to top and back of headband. Press bundle into
clips.
For non bi-furcated fiber attach to the fiber clip at the rear of the headband for the
most comfortable fit.
5. Turn light source intensity down to minimum. Insert fiber optic bundle proximal end
into light source port.
6. Turn light source on. Adjust light intensity to the minimum level necessary for
adequate visualization.
NOTE : Refer to Welch Allyn light source owner’s manual for instructions on
operating light source.
7. Turn unit off when not in use.
8. Allow to cool before removing fiber optic bundle. The ends of the fiber optic bundle
get hot during use.
