Guidelines for safe use of the Green Series
Portable Headlight
Intended use
This headlight is designed to meet the various needs of the physician’s
office, hospital environment, and specialist’s office.

Warnings
WARNING
Green Series Portable Headlight is not suitable for use in the
presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air or oxygen or nitrous
oxide. An explosion may result.
WARNING INTENSE LIGHT: Lamp is bright. Do not stare at the lamp when
in use. May be harmful to eyes.

Caution
Read Operating Manual for Warnings, Cautions, and Instructions
for Use.
Caution No modification of this equipment is allowed.
Caution Do not block access to the wall socket. Ensure that transformer
can be unplugged from the AC power source.
Caution Use only Green Series Portable Headlight Power Source/Battery
Charger and rechargeable battery pack supplied by Welch Allyn.
Caution There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device except the
rechargeable batteries and headband. Contact the Authorized Service
Center listed at www.welchallyn.com/support for further assistance.

Setup and operation
The Green Series Portable Headlight (REF 46070) consists of the Portable
Headlight (REF 46000) with Direct Power Source (REF 74170).
The Green Series Portable Headlight is designed to operate off the battery
or direct power source. To operate the headlight using the direct power
source, follow the instructions and illustrations in the section labeled
Direct Plug-In Transformer. Press the on/off switch located on the Direct
Plug to operate the headlight.
To adjust the light spot size, turn the knob on the front section of the
luminaire. To adjust the rigid headband, simply rotate the adjustment knob
located on the back of the headband.
Follow the assembly instructions listed below and the corresponding
illustrations.

Direct Plug-In Transformer (See Figure 2)
1. Plug Power cord into the port on the top of the luminaire.
2. Push until firmly in place.
3. The instrument is now ready for use.
4. Plug direct power source into a nearby receptacle.

Battery Replacement (See Figure 3)
1. Drop the battery pack into the luminarie visor.
2. Plug into the connector.

Headband Replacement (See Figure 4)
Holding the luminaire with the on/off switch in the up position, place the
visor section of the luinatire into the openings located in the front section
of the terry cloth headband.

Cleaning (Recommended monthly)
Caution Do not immerse in cleaning solutions.
Caution Excess solution entering the luminaire assembly could damage

internal components. Use caution to ensure cloth is not saturated
with solution.

Caution Do not sterilize the unit.
1. Unplug the unit prior to cleaning.

2. Wipe down the entire luminaire with a cloth slightly dampened with a

mild solution of detergent.

3. Do not operate the light until the light is thoroughly dry.

Configuración e instalación
La Lámpara frontal portátil Green Series (REF 46070) consta de la Lámpara

La Lámpara frontal portátil Green Series está diseñada para funcionar con
batería o fuente de alimentación directa. Para poner en funcionamiento la
lámpara frontal utilizando la fuente de alimentación directa, siga las
instrucciones e ilustraciones de la sección denominada "Transformador de
enchufe directo". Pulse el interruptor de encendido/apagado del enchufe
directo para poner en funcionamiento la lámpara.
Para ajustar el tamaño del punto de luz, gire el botón de la sección frontal
de la luminaria. Para ajustar la cinta craneal rígida, solo tiene que girar el
botón de ajuste situado en la parte de atrás de la cinta.

Transformador de enchufe directo (Vea la figura 2)
1. Enchufe el cable de alimentación en el puerto de la parte superior de la

Sustitución de la cinta craneal (Vea la figura 4)
Sujetando la luminaria con el interruptor de encendido/apagado en la
posición superior, coloque la sección del visor de la luminaria en las
