3. Operation
3.1 LED Indicators
The 8829 Media Converter has seven LED indi-
cators on the front panel (see Figure 3-1).

PWR Power Indicator (Green)
When lit, PWR indicates that the
unit is receiving power.
LNK Fiber/Interface Integrity Indicator
(Green)
When lit, F/INF indicates that a Keep
Alive Signal or data packets are being
correctly received at the fiber input to
the converter. This LED must be ON to
enable the T/INF LED to operate.
