PARTS LIST

The extractor handle mounting brackets require a hole that lines up with the top hole in the side rail

reinforcement (located on the inside of the bottommost part of all hand truck frames).

• For hand trucks that already have holes in the side rails for mounting the extractor handle mounting

brackets, use a screwdriver to punch a hole through the red stripe and begin at the section titled

EXTRACTOR HANDLE INSTALLATION.

• For a Y-cable brake truck, the mounting brackets are already installed - begin with Step 2 in the section

titled EXTRACTOR HANDLE INSTALLATION.

For retrofitting extractor handle kit to an existing hand truck see instructions directly below.

FIELD RETROFIT

When retrofitting the extractor handle kit to an existing hand truck without the side rail hole that lines up with

the top hole in side rail reinforcement, mounting holes will need to be drilled in the frame, one on each side.

1. Using a ruler or tape measure, mark a location in the center of the side rail 7-3/4” above the wheel

bracket as illustrated in Figure 1 on both sides.

2. Drill a hole using a 3/8” drill bit in the location marked.
3. Repeat Steps 1-2 for the other side of the hand truck.

2

Drill a 3/8” diameter

hole if it does not

exist.
