4.2 Troubleshooting NAT Troubleshooting

4.2.1 Typical Networking

NAT

As shown in Figure 4-3, an enterprise is connected to the Wide Area Network (WAN) by
using NAT of the Secure Router 8000 Series router.

It is required that the enterprise network be connected to the Internet through the serial port
3/0/0 on the router and the enterprise network provide Web and FTP services to Internet users.

Server

As shown in Figure 4-4, an enterprise is connected to the WAN by using NAT function of the

Secure Router 8000 Series.

The enterprise must connect to Internet 1 through Ethernet1/0/0 (IP address is
202.38.160.108), and to Internet 2 through Ethernet1/0/1 (IP address is 202.38.160.108). The
enterprise externally provides Web services and three Web servers. The external users of
Internet 1 and Internet 2 access the Web servers through a router.

The PC on the internal network segment 10.110.10.0/24 can access Internet 1, but PCs on
other segments cannot access it. In addition, here, a user can set up a maximum of 300
connections (flow control).

The maximum bandwidth for each user is 1 Mbit/s (1024 bit/s). The user is also limited to the
speed of BT downloading services, and the overall BT flow control is within 30 Mbit/s
(30720 kbit/s).
