Batteries
Q Rechargeable battery
♦Ensure a battery is inserted in the unit before
trying to recharge.
•Assemble the stand (@) and charger (®).
•You can not operate the unit while it is in the
recharging stand.
• Depending on the charge left in the battery
when you start recharging, the lamps may light
differently.
• Normally 5 hours recharging will give you
about 37 hours tape playback (at 25 °C).
• Use only the included charger when re­
charging,
•The rechargeable battery can be recharged
about 300 times. When its operation time be­
comes extremely shortened, that’s time for re­
placing it.

Press in and down towards the minus end.
El Battery condition indicators
When the battery becomes weak
The indicator will flash.
Recharge the rechargeable battery or replace
the dry cell battery with a new one.
•To confirm the indicators
® Press [ВАТТ CHECK].
The lamps flash five times then light to show the
remaining charge.
® in the stop mode, press [SOUND].
■ To extend playback time
Install both types of battery (rechargeable and
dry cell battery) in the unit.
HOLD function
This function prevents the unit from operating in
error,

•The function on the main unit and the remote
control are independent of each other.
Cautions
•Wign the poles (© and ©) properly when in­
serting the battery.
• Do not recharge ordinary dry cell batteries.
• Remove all the batteries if the set wiil not be
used for a long period of time.
•Carry and store the rechargeable battery in
the supplied battery carrying case to prevent
contact with metal objects.
• Do not peel off the covering on batteries and
do not use if the covering has been peeled off.
Mishandling of batteries can cause electrolyte
leakage which can damage items the fluid con­
tacts and may cause a fire.
If electrolyte leaks from the battery, consult your
dealer.
Wash thoroughly with water if electrolyte comes
in contact with any part of your body.
•Do not play your headphones or earphones at
high volume.
•To avoid product damage, do not expose this
product to rain, water or other liquids.
•Avoid using or placing this unit near sources of
heat. Do not leave it in an automobile exposed
to direct sunlight for a long period of time with
doors and windows dosed.
• Mobile phones can cause noise if used too
close to the unit. Separate if this occurs.
•Discontinue use if you experience discomfort
with the earphones or any otìier parts that di­
rectly contact your skin. Continued use may
cause rashes or other allergic reactions.
