tion for the hard disk starts automatically.

After the “restore” procedure completes, a message will
be displayed. Remove the Product Recovery CD-ROM,
then close the tray.

(T)Turn the computer off and remove the CD drive.
@Set the floppy disk drive in the multimedia pocket and

put the FIRSTAID FD into the floppy disk drive, then
turn the computer on.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

When the message “insert the next CD” is displayed, in­

sert the Product Recovery CD-ROM showing the next
number in the sequenee, and then select [OK].

(In the case of Windows NT, only Product Recovery CD-
ROMs 1 and 2 can be used.)

If [OK] is not immediately selected:

The message “The media does not contain the correct

file” may appear. When [OK] is selected, the message

“insert the next CD” will be displayed again.
Confirm that the proper Product Recovery CD-ROM
has been inserted by opening the tray of the CD drive
and then close the tray, then immediately select [OK].

After the reinstallation procedure completes, the follow­

ing message will appear on the display. Remove the floppy

disk or Product Recovery CD-ROM, then restart the com­
puter by pressing ( Ctrl

All data on the whole HDD has been restored to the factory default.
After removing floppy disk, restart the computer and set up Windows
again.

When the message [Press <F2> to enter SETUP] is dis­

played, press ( F2 ) and then run the Setup Utility.

If the password has been set, enter the Supervisor Pass­

word.

default values. Even the security settings with the excep­
tion of the password(s) will return to their default values.)
