Error messages on the display

If the unit detects a problem, one or more of the following messages will appear on the display:

CHECK COVER

CHECK DOCUMENT

CHECK FILM

CHECK LEVER

CHECK MEMORY

CHECK PAPER

•There is something wrong with the unit. Contact our service personnel.

•The front cover is open. Close it.

•The document is not fed into the unit properly. Reinsert the document. If

misfeeding occurs frequently, clean the document feeder rollers inside the unit
(p. 105). If the problem remains, adjust the feeder pressure {p. 102).

•The film cartridge is not inserted properly. Reinsert it correctly (p. 103,104).

•The recording paper set lever is released. Push it back to set the lever (p. 9).

'Memory {telephone numbers, parameters, etc.) has been erased. Re-program.

PAPER JAMMED

•The recording paper is not installed or the unit ran out of paper. Install paper

(p. 8).

•The recording paper is not fed into the unit properly or has jammed near the

recording paper entrance. Clear the jammed paper (see “When paper has

jammed near the recording paper entrance” on page 101).

Do not install folded or heavily curled paper in the paper tray.

•The unit has (a) document{s) in memory. See the other message instructions to

print out the document(s).

•The memory is full of received documents due to a lack of recording paper or a

recording paper jam. Install paper or clear the paper jam.

•The film is empty. Replace the film or film cartridge with a new one (p. 103, 104).
•The film is slack. Tighten it (see step 8 on page 104) and install again.

•The remaining film can print approx. 10 pages of A4 size documents. Prepare a

new film or film cartridge (p. 6).

•There is no room left in memory to record a voice message. Erase some or all of

the messages (p. 26, 54).

•The receiving unit is busy or ran out of recording paper. Try again.

•A recording paper jam occurred under the film cartridge. Clear the jammed paper

(p. 100).
