BASIC TRANSMISSION
Basic Transmission Settings
You can temporarily change ten basic settings (Resolution, Contrast, Halftone, Verification Stamp,
XMT Journal, Polled, Password XMT, Total Pages, and Error Correction Mode) before any transmis­
sion. After the transmission is finished, your machine will automatically return to the normal settings.
Setting Resolution
Your machine is preset to STANDARD resolution,
which is suitable for ordinary documents. Use FINE
or Super-FINE for very detailed documents. Using
FINE or Super-FINE will slow down transmission
slightly.

Setting Original
Your machine Is preset to NORMAL contrast. If ^
have to send a dark document, you may get bel
results by changing the setting to DARK. If you hi
to send a light document, it may be wise to chan
the setting to LIGHT. As a test, you can make a ti
copy before transmitting (see page 42).
