2 PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Building a complete solar tracking system has never been easier. The SunTura Solar Tracker Kit can be
used directly on 12 volt or 24 volt systems. If you plan on using the SunTura Solar Tracker Kit on a grid tie
system, we can supply you with a 12 volt power supply which can be plugged into the grid (110 AC or 220
AC).

RECAUTIONS

CAUTION: Never approach a solar tracker while the SunTura Solar Tracker electronics are “on”. The solar
tracker can move unexpectedly and the powerful linear actuators/motors can cause serious injury or death.
Always disconnect the SunTura Solar Tracker electronics from its power supply before approaching the solar
tracker.

UIDELINES

The SunTura Solar Tracker Electronics provides the electronics used to build a dual axis solar tracker (One
can also choose to use the electronics to build a single axis tracker by simply not using one of the motor
ports). The SunTura Solar Tracker Electronics are capable of operating at 14 amps continuously and 16
amps intermittently. In general, solar trackers use linear actuators (geared motors) to move and follow the
sun. The 14 amp operational capacity of the SunTura Solar Tracker Electronics is powerful enough to power
linear actuators for solar trackers up to 2.5 kW (2500 Watts). Check the amp draw of the linear actuators or
