sensor training data is then stored by the miniAV-LT instrument, and
recalled when testing at that temperature. The sensor training procedure
requires approximately 30 minutes (longer at lower temperatures).

NOTES

The miniAV-LT pulls the sample into the tube at 30°C (called the wash
temperature) and then goes to the test temperature to perform the
required sample determinations.

You will be prompted to train sensors by the instrument hardware or
software whenever a new temperature is selected for miniAV-LT opera-
tion. You will be unable to test samples until the training has been
completed. Sensor training data remains valid until the sensors are
retrained at the same temperature. Retraining is necessary only when
the viscometer tube is changed, or if sensor performance changes over
time.

Train Tube Sensors

To train tube sensors, click Service menu and select the Train Tube
Sensors menu for the desired instrument. The Train Tube Sensors
window will open.

Select the desired training parameters as follows:

Train at Wash Temperature option: Click the Train at Wash Tempera-
ture
to train the sensors at the wash/idle temperature (30°C).

Thermal Soak Time option: Click this box to set a temporary thermal
soak time (default time is 120 seconds) for the trip point adjustment oil.

Temperature to Train List Box: A three column list box in which the
user may enter up to 10 training temperatures between +10°C and -40°C.
