When the “M” and the “s” are illuminated
simultaneously, the TI-25DL is displaying
an acoustic velocity in meters per second.

When in Differential Measurement mode,
the measured values will be displayed as
“+” or “-” from a user-set “nominal” value.
The “+” and “-” indicator is located next to
the “IN” units indicator.

3.6 Display Backlight

The TI-25DL is supplied with a user-set Backlight mode. The back
light can be set to operate in any of the following three modes:

1. ON

The backlight is illuminated whenever the power is on.

2. OFF

The backlight is never illuminated (to save battery
power)

3. AUTO The backlight is automatically illuminated each time a

measurement is made.

Note: The factory default setting is “OFF.”

To Change Backlight Mode

1. Turn on the TI-25DL power by pressing the key.

2. Press the key to activate the features and settings menu.

3. Press the or key until ... "LitE" is shown on the

display.

4. Press the key to change the currently selected backlight

mode. Each time the SEND key is pressed the backlight mode will
change from "Aut0", to "On" to "OFF".

5. Press the key to select the current backlight mode and return

to measurement mode.

2. Press the key to activate the data logger.

The display will alternately flash “FILE” and the “F-XX” (where XX is the
currently selected File Number).

3. Press the key to enter the file setup. The currently selected File

Number will be displayed (F-01, F-02 .... F-10).

4. Press the key to select the currently displayed File Number

clearing or press the or keys to index the file number to the
desired File Number to be cleared of all stored data.

5. Press the key to select the file for clearing. The display will

alternately flash “FILE” and “F-XX” (where “XX” is the File Number
01, 02 ..10).

6. Press the key. The display will alternately flash “F-XX” and “CLr”.

7. Press the key to clear the contents of this File Number. The display

will show “CLr?” checking to make sure the user wants to clear the
contents of the selected File.

8. Press the key to confirm the request to clear (erase) the data

or press the key to abort this action and exit the data logging
function.

Note: The user can press the key at any point to exit the data
logging function and return to the measurement mode.

10.4 Clearing Data From All Files Simultaneously

If the user would like to clear (erase) the entire contents of the data loggers
memory (all Files) perform the following steps:

1. Turn on the TI-25DL power by pressing the key.

2. Immediately press the key. The display will show “CLr?

3. Press the key to confirm the request to clear (erase) the data

or press the key to abort this action and exit the data logging
function.
