GLOBAL SETTINGS

The Machinedrum offers 8 different global settings positions. The multiple global setups are
useful for using the Machinedrum in more than one setup. You can have one setup for stu-
dio use and another for live use, or maybe several different setups for different parts of your
live set.

The items listed below are available in a the GLOBAL SETTINGS menu.

MIDI base channel

TRACK/PATTERN mappings for a MIDI keyboard

Local control on or off

Program change settings

Mechanical settings (MKII units only)

Output routings of tracks

Trig settings

Sysex send of pattern, song and kit data

Sysex receive of pattern, song and kit data

Sample manager (Machinedrum UW models only)

+Drive settings (+Drive models only)

Tempo and Sync settings

Turbo menu

To select a global setting and edit it:

1.

Press [FUNCTION] and then the [PATTERN/SONG] key to open the GLOBAL SET-
TINGS menu.

2.

Go to the global setting slot you wish to use, and press [ENTER/YES] to select it.

3.

If you wish to enter the menu for the selected slot, you can either press [ENTER/YES]
once more or move the focus to the ENTER field and press [ENTER/YES].

TURBO MENU

The TURBO menu, only available in OS 1.53 and higher, allows you to use the Turbo pro-
tocol when connecting the Machinedrum to other units that have the Turbo protocol imple-
