Why does FileNet not display as a destination type in Kofax Front-Office Server Web Client

and Kofax Front-Office Server Administration Console?

Check the following:

Make sure you have performed the procedures shown in

Configuring FileNet on page 5

and

Configuring Kofax Front-Office Server on page 9

.

Enable the FileNet destination type in Kofax Front-Office Server Administration

Console.

„

Refresh the browser window.

Why am I unable to connect to the FileNet system?

Check the following:

„

Make sure that the WcmApiConfig.properties file refers to the correct URLs for the

Content Engine, and there are no extra spaces at the end of each line.

„

Make sure that the httpd.conf file contains references to Listener.dll and mod_cja.dll.

My document class does not appear under FileNet. What do I do?

Make sure that you have done the following:

„

Created a folder with exactly the same name as the document class.

„

Granted permissions to users.

Class names must not include the separator string (||) and invalid characters (/ \ < > *).

An index field does not appear with the others. What happened?

The index field was set as an Object or Binary data type. Change it to another data type.

When Kofax Front-Office Server Web Client attempts to retrieve the index fields for one of the

FileNet destinations, an error indicates that index fields cannot be retrieved. This error does not

occur with other FileNet destinations. What is the problem?

The destination has a required index field that was set to an Object or Binary data type.

Change the required field to another type.

How do I send documents to a destination from the MFP?

Create shortcuts in Kofax Front-Office Server Administration Console and Kofax Front-Office

Server Web Client. Shortcuts created with Kofax Front-Office Server Administration Console

are available to all users of an MFP. Users can create their own shortcuts with Kofax Front-

Office Server Web Client.
