The navigator switches off suddenly.

a. Check whether the navigator is powered correctly.
(par. 6.1 and 6.2)
b. The navigator may be in stand-by because it has
been set on medium or maximum level of Power
Save. Check the settings:
1. From the main menu touch Settings
2. Touch user Preferences
3. Touch Power. Here you can set three different
levels of Power Save: Off, medium or maximum.
If you choose OFF, then the battery life will be
shorter but you will be sure that the navigator never
goes in stand-by, if you choose the Medium level,
you will have a longer battery life. If you select
Maximum, the battery life will be longer thanks to
several tricks. For example when the navigator is

not powered the brightness is automatically reduced
then after several minutes of inactivity the screen
goes in stand-by.
Choose OFF and touch Accept. If after this operation
the navigator continues to switch off suddenly,
contact AvMap Customer Support.

6.9

The navigator freezes

If the navigator freezer in a windows and won’t exit
neither it, nor switch off, then you need to Reset it.
To reset, press with the point of a pen the Reset hole
(the external one).

I have damaged the SD card

Remember that only AvMap SD memory cards are
compatible with AvMap navigators. No other memory
can be used, so it is not possible to copy the content
of an SD in another one, as every SD comes with a
