CAUTION:

Please follow these instructions for installing/removing the filter:

1.

Remove the ViroSafe filter from the shipping box and remove any protective wrapping. Examine all
filters for damage during shipping and storage. If damage is found, please contact the local shipper
for damage assessment.

2.

Install the ViroSafe filter into the square opening at the top of the smoke evacuation system. Be sure
that the filter is seated completely into the opening and that the filter is resting on the bottom plate.

3.

Insert adapter or hose into round filter opening. Be sure sealing is achieved. Add any other adapters,
wands, cones, etc. that will be needed to complete the installation.

Caution: If fluid is expected to be introduced into the ViroSafe Filter and/or either smoke evacuation
system, fluid collection devices (BF P/N SCC1001) must be installed with the vacuum hose assembly.
Failure to install a fluid collection device could cause filter blockage and electrical damage.

4.

Connect smoke evacuator electrical cord into available grounded 120V/60Hz (220/240V/50Hz Int’l)
electrical wall socket.

5.

Proceed with the proper use of the smoke evacuation system and ViroSafe filter as outline in the
Operator/Service Manual.

6.

After the ViroSafe filter has been exhausted and requires changing, turn smoke evacuation system
off and disconnect electrical cord from electrical socket.

7.

Remove the ViroSafe filter from the smoke evacuation system and dispose of in accordance with
local codes.
