Water Filtration System Icemaker Connection Kit (RVKIT)

INSTAI1ATION INSTRUCTIONS

For use with models GXRVIO, GXRMIO, PNRQ15, PNRQ20,

PNRV12 {begiiming on page 1) and PNRV18 (beginning on page 4)

TNSTAT J.ATION NOTES

i Use pipe thread-sealing tape (provided) on threaded

connections.

i Tubing may be cut to desired length.

i WTien connecting the kit to a refrigerator water dispenser,

a slightly lower dispenser water pressure may be noticed.

This is normal.

i Storage tank
i Tank adapter
i 6 ft. 3/8" orange tubing

i 2 Tee fittings with

push-tfj-connect ends

■ Brass tubing adapter, nut and

washer assembly

■ 33 ft 3/8" blue tubing

■ Pipe thread tape
■ I ft. 3/8" orange tubing

i It is normal for the GREEN light to flash on the faucet monitor

when die icemaker or dispenser calls for water (on some
models).

! Before installing the icemaker kit instaff ^e Reverse Omosis

nitration System according to the instaffatian instructions.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED

■ Utility knife
■ Pliere and adjustable jaw wrench

CONNECTING THE AT TXniARY TANK-

Turn off the icemaker.

2.

Turn off the water supply to the Reveree Osmosis Filtration

System by closing the water supply sulve (Fig. 1).

Drain the RO system and tank. Turn on die RO faucet located

on the sink or countertop (Fig. 1). Let the water drain from the
system until water has stopped flowing. On models equipped
widi a tank shutoff valve, make sure the i^alve is open so that the
tank will drain. Qose the RO faucet

Cut the 3/8" tubing that connects the storage tank to die RO

system (Fig. 2); this tubing will be either orange, gray or white,
depending on model. Make sure the cut is clean and straight

with no burrs or crimps. Insert on Tee fitting between the two

cut ends of the tubing (Fig. 2). Push the tubing into the fitting
until it stops—about 1/2". Give tubing a tug to make sure it is
seated securely.

. Connect the tank to die Tee using the 6 ft. length orange

tubing.
