BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Whençiver you replace your batteries, you mus( lurn the radio off arid im-

midiately replace them with nçw batteries to avoid memory losa.

INSTALLING THE ANTENNA

Insert the connector end oí the flexible antenna provided into the receptacle

on top of the urtil and linger tighten.

An external antenna may be helpful in fringe areas. Always use 50-70 ohm coax­

ial cable for lead-in. For lengihs in excess of 50 feet. RG8AU low-loss foam

dielectric coax is recommended. Your scanner is equipped with a standard BNC
connector. You may need an adapler (optional) or other type of mating plug
for proper connection
