WARNING! Prior to troubleshooting, always unplug the mains plug and slide the
safeguard 8 over the cutter blades 9.

Fault

Possible Cause

Solution

Electric hedge trimmer does
not start.

Extension cable is not plug-
ged in or is damaged.

Plug in or replace the extensi-
on cable, if needed.

While rotating the cutting unit,
the lock button did not enga-
ge in 0° or ±90° position.

While rotating the cutting unit,
the lock button must engage
in 0° or ±90° position.

While tilting the swivel head,
the lock button did not en-
gage in the position ranging
from +60° and -80°.

While tilting the swivel head,
the lock button must engage
in the position ranging from
+60° and -80°.

Electric hedge trimmer does
not work continuously.

Extension cable is damaged.

Plug in or replace the extensi-
on cable, if needed.

Internal wire is damaged.

Find the faulty point and
replace the internal wire.

Trigger is damaged.

Find the faulty point and
replace the trigger.

Electric hedge trimmer does
not work cleanly.

Blunt or damaged blades.

Have the blades sharpen or
thoroughly cleaned.
Find the faulty point and
replace the cutter blades.

Excessive friction due to lack
of grease.

Apply the spray grease.

WARNING! Should other problems occur, contact the local service centre. The electric
hedge trimmer shall be repaired exclusively by the local service centres or authorised dealers.
