You should do the following checks
and adjustments before you drive
your vehicle.
M ake sure all windows, mirrors,
and outside lights are clean and
unobs tructed. Remove frost, snow,
or ice.
Ch eck that the hood is fully closed.
C heck the seat adjustment (see
p age ).
C heck the adjustment of the
inside and outside mirrors (see
p age ).
C heck the steering wheel
a djustment (see page ).
C heck that the trunk is fully
cl osed.
C heck that any items you may be
c arrying are stored properly or
fastened down securely.
V isually check the tires. If a tire
loo ks low, use a gauge to check its
p ressure (see page ).
M ake sure the doors are securely
c losed and locked.
F asten your seat belt. Check that
y our passengers have fastened
th eir seat belts (see page ).
W hen you start the engine, check
the gauges and indicators in the
instrument panel (see page
).
