Camera
Camera will not operate.
Power is not turned on. z Press the ON/OFF button (p. 42) .
Memory card slot/battery
cover is open. z Confirm that the Memory card slot/
battery cover is securely closed

Batteries are loaded in the
wrong direction. z Reload the batteries in the correct
direction
(p. 10) .
Batteries are not the right
type. z Use only unused AA-size alkaline
batteries or Canon AA-size NiMH
batteries

Battery charge is low and
the camera will not
operate. (“Change the

displays). z Replace the camera batteries with two
