Selecting a Playback Audio Setting

You can easily select a playback audio setting (language, recording system, and audio channel) from those included on the DVD video
disc during playback.

About recording systems

This DVD video player uses the Dolby Digital (AC-3) and

PCM recording systems and cannot play DVD video discs
recorded in any other recording system.
Select the audio setting “PCM” or “AC-3” depending on the
kind of audio system you connected to the DVD video player
(pages 13 and 14).

AC-3 5.1 Channel is displayed as “AC-3 6CH.”
