Basic Operations
This section provides information on performing basic
keyboard operations.
To play the keyboard

Set the POWER/MODE switch to NORMAL.

Use the MAIN VOL. slider to set the volume to a
relatively low level.

Play something on the keyboard.
• The keyboard’s initial power on default setting is Song
Bank Mode. The tone that is initially assigned to the
keyboard is the tone used by Song Bank tune number
00.
Selecting a Tone
This keyboard comes with 100 built-in tones. Use the
following procedure to select the tone you want.
To select a tone

Find the tone you want to use in the TONE List and
note its tone number.
• Not all of the available tones are shown on the tone
list printed on the keyboard console. For a complete
list, see the “Tone List” on page A-1.

Press the TONE button.

Use the number buttons to input the two-digit tone
number of the tone you want to select.
Example: To select “42 ACOUSTIC BASS”, input 4 and
then 2.
