unit allowing you to make more modifi ca-

tions if needed. Choosing “Do Not Save”

will disconnect from the unit and disregard

all changes made for the current session.

The unit will continue to retain the current

settings until power is removed then the

previous confi guration will be used.
Checking the “Save to Personality Module”

will save a backup of the entire unit confi gu-

ration to the unit’s Personality Module. The

personality module will provide a backup

restore option in case of catastrophic pro-

cessor failure. Make sure a Personality

Module is present in the JSD-80.

Note: It is essential that when writing

to the Personality Module, the Write Pro-

tect Switch is in the “OFF” (left) position

Once the parameters are saved, however,

it is equally important that the switch be

returned to the “ON” position.
Having a backup copy of all settings in the

Personality Module permits loading a copy

of all settings into a new replacement mod-

ule without the need for a computer and

technician.
