In the second illustration (figure 4), we see the WATT elevated to 18 inches above
the floor on an open frame stand. There is some loss of low frequency response because of
the reduction in 2 pi steradian support of woofer output. The acoustical center of the WATT
is now closer to ear level, thus sound staging will be improved, and the high frequency
