STORAGE

Before you store ths air compressor, make sure you do

the foWowfng;

1 Review the “Maintenance" section on the proceeding

papas and perform maintenance as necessary. Be
sure to drain wfor from the air lank.

2. Protea the etearical cord and air hose from damage

loosely arourjd the compressor handle.

Store the air compressor in a clean and dry location.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

WASNING

PERFORMING REPAIRS MAY EXPOSE VOLTAGE SOURCES, MOVING PARTS, OR COM­
PRESSED AIR SOURCES. PERSONAL INJURY MAY OCCUR. PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING ANY

REPAIRS UNPLUG THE AIR COMPRESSOR AND BLEED OFF TANK AIR PRESSURE.

Move the pressure switoh lever to the "OFF posi-
ilon. If the outfit doesn't shut off, and the eioctricai
contacts are welded together, replace toe pressure

switch.

if the corrtacta are good, check to see if the pin in

the bottom of the pressure release valve Is stuck, if
it does not move freely, replace the vatve

Pressure switch *out-out'' too
high.

Return the outfit to Sears Service Center to check
and adjust, or replace switch.

Air leaks at fittings

Tlibe fittings are not tight enough.

Tighten fittings where air cart be heard escaping.
Chock flttinga with soapy water solution, DO NOT
OVER-TIGHTEN,

Air teaks at check valve.

Defective or dirty check valve

A defsctiivB check valve results in a constant air

leak at the pressure relaase valve witon there is

pressure In the tank and the compressor is shut off.
Remove and ciaan or replace chack valire DO
NOT OVER-TIQHTEN.

Mr leaks at pressure
switch release ^ivre

Reraov« and replace the mtease valve.

Defective chack valve.

A defective CHECK valve results in a constant air
leak at the pressure reisase valve when there is
pressure in the tank and the compressor ia shut off.
Remove and clean or replace check vaiva. DO
NOT OVER-TIGHTER.

Air leaks In air tank

Defective aJr tank.

Air tank must be replaced Do rroi repair the leak.
