Afler you ^ave applied a decal to tfie exercise insert

woricout, fit the four tobs on the insert into the slots in the lower port of the computer. Make sure that the insert is turned

so the decols ore visible. (The use of the remaining spoces on the insert will be exploined below.)

Next, a weight, set end repetiKon setting should be programmed for eoch of the exercises, ond the workout should be

stored on the CUSTOM SMART CARD.

Press the CREATE PROGRAM button. The indicotor next to the button will light. Press the right or left orrow on the NEXT

button, if necessary, unHl the indicotor is flashing on the first spoce on the exercise Insert where a decol has been

applied. The number of the exercise will be shown in the CALORIES/EXERCISE NO. display. Next, press the TONE or

STRENGTH button, depending on vdiether you want the first exercise to be a tone or a strength exercise. The indicotor

next to the button you press will light. The WEIGHT, SETS ond REPS displays will show the recommended weight setting

ond numbers of sets ond repetitions for the first exercise. WARNING: The recommended weight setting may be too

high or too low for you, depending on such factors os your body size and physical condition. If you cannot com­

plete the recommended numbers of sets and repetitions, the weight setting should be decreased. If desired, the

weight, set or repetition setting can be changed by pressing the increase or decrease button below the WEIGHT, SETS

or REPS display. The weight setting con be chonged In Increments of 1 pound; the buttons con be held down to chonge

the weight setting quickly. The number of sets or repetitions con be changed in increments of 1, The range of sets is 1 to

9.

The range of repetitions Is 2 to 20. After you have progrommed the desired weight, set ond repetition settings for the

first exercise, press the STORE button. The indicator will remain lighted on the first exercise on the exercise insert, and

the indicotor will begin Roshlng on the next exercise on the insert. Press the TONE or STRENGTH button ond progrom

weight, set ond repetition settings for the next exercise os described above. Press the STORE button. Repeat for eoch of

the exercises on the insert. The workout will then be stored on the CUSTOM SMART CARD.

When you ore reody to begin the workout, press the RUN PROGRAM button. The indicotor next to the button will light.

The indicotors Nvill light on oil of the spoces on the exercise insert where decals have been applied. The indicator will be

Boshing on the first exercise of the workout. Begin the first exercise. (Refer to pages 17 through 24 of this owner's

monuol for infbrmotiwi obout the proper form for the exercise.) As you exercise, the computer will provide the some

feedbock os when it is in the monuo) mode. After you hove completed all of the sets ond repetitions for the first exer­

cise, press the right orrow on the NEXT button. The indicator will begin Boshing on the next exercise of the workout.

Perform the next exercise os described obove. Repeol until you have completed all of the exercises irKluded In the

workout.

The workout con be revised as your fitness level Increases or your gools change. To revise the workout, first press the

CREATE PROGRAM button. To revise the settings for on exercise, press the right or left arrow on the NEXT button until

the Indicotor is flashing on the exercise thot you wont to revise. Press the Increase or decrease button below the

WEIGHT, SETS or REPS disploy to chonge the setting. Press the STORE button. To delete on exercise, press the right or

left arrow on the NEXT button until the indicotor is Boshing on the exercise thot you wont to delete. Press the DELETE

button. Remove the decal for the exercise from the exercise insert. To add an exercise, attach a decol to the insert and

press the right or left arrow on the NEXT button until the Indicotor is Boshing on the new exercise on the insert. Program

weight, set ond repetition settings os described above. Press the STORE button.

Because there ore 40 spoces on the exercise insert, o number of different workouts con be stored on the CUSTOM

SMART CARD of the some time. For example, your exercise progrom could include three difterent workouts—one for

Mondoys, one for Wednesdoys, ond one for Fridays. Or, you could create two different workouts using the spoces

numbered 1 through 20 on the insert, and a trolning portner could creóte two different workouts using the spaces num­

bered 21 through 40. To do one of the workouts, first press the RUN PROGRAM button. Press the right or left arrow on

the NEXT button until tfie indicator is Boshing on the first exercise of the workout that you wont to do. Then, complete

the Nvorkoui os described obove. The CUSTOM SMART CARD con be programmed in a variety of woys to fit your indi­

vidual needs.
