GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

• Always observe safety rules when performing any

maintenance.

• The warranty on this snow thrower does not cover

items that have been subjected to operator abuse
or negligence. To receive full value from the war­
ranty, operator must maintain the snow thrower as
instructed in this manual.

• Some adjustments will need to be made periodical­

ly to properly maintain your unit,

• All adjustments in the Service and Adjustments

section of this manual should be checked at least
once each season.

• Follow the maintenance schedule on this page.

LUBRICATION

A

WARNING: Disconnect the spark plug wire
and ground against the engine before per­
forming any repairs or maintenance.

SPROCKET SHAFT

• Lubricate the sprocket shaft with grease at least

once a season or after every 25 hours of operation.

IMPORTANT: Keep all grease and oil off of the friction
wheel and drive plate.

SHIFTING MECHANISM

• Lubricate the shifting mechanism and pivot points

on the shift rod with engine oil at least once a
season or after every 25 hours of operation.

TRACTION DRIVE CONTROL

• Lubricate cams on the ends of the control rods

which interlock the traction drive and auger
controls at least once a season or every twenty-
five hours of operation with grease. The cams can

be accessed beneath the handle panel.
