I cannot get traffic
information.
Verify that you are in a coverage area. You must be in a coverage
area to get the traffic information for that area.
Verify that the FM TMC Traffic receiver is connected to the power
connector on the cradle and also connected to a power outlet
in your vehicle. (The traffic receiver is included in some nüvi
packages.)
The nüvi does not go
into speech recognition
mode.
Verify that the remote control is activated (

>

Activate New Remote
).
Replace the battery in the remote control. See
The nüvi does not
understand my spoken
commands.
Speak slowly and clearly, and eliminate as much background noise
as possible. Stop conversations, and turn down the radio volume.
Mount the nüvi in your car in a location that is free from excessive
vibrations and away from obvious noise sources.
Can I use an external
microphone to speak to
my nüvi?
Yes. In extremely noisy environments, an external microphone can
be used to improve speech recognition performance.
My phone will not
connect to the nüvi.

. Verify that the Bluetooth field

Make sure your phone is turned on and is less than 10 meters
(about 33 feet) away from your nüvi.

How do I know my nüvi
is in USB mass storage
mode?
When your nüvi is in USB mass storage mode, a picture of a nüvi
connected to a computer is shown. Also, you should see two new
removable disk drives listed in
My Computer
.
